Announces US-UK-Canada Free-Trade Zone
Unified
Communications Company Launches its Canadian Leg of a Global Communications
Plan.
EasyTel
announced today the opening of a 10-city expansion of its Public Access
network, covering the major communications markets across Canada.
"From
Edmonton to Ottawa, and from Toronto to Vancouver, Canada is now part of the
EasyTel 'Free Trade Zone'," exclaimed EasyTel President Randal Skala. "Our subscribers and their families or
business associates can now reach each other almost anywhere across the United
States, Canada and the United Kingdom as a local call completely free of
international tolls."
The
new telephone numbers are the latest step in EasyTel's ongoing expansion around
the world. Skala explained, "With
the public access numbers, someone in Hamilton Canada can make a local call and
reach an EasyTel subscriber in London, England, without ever paying a dime in
international tolls.
"Or
a business traveler staying in Calgary could carry on a conference call with
partners in San Diego, New York and Manchester, England, while everyone reaches
the conference with a local call."
EasyTel's
Public Access Numbers allow its customers and their families or associates to
connect to the entire array of EasyTel's integrated communications services
with local calls, no matter where they are.
Voice messaging, paging, conference calling, screened call-routing and
more are available through the Public Access Numbers.
"It's
the 'EasyTel Free-Trade Zone, because that's how it works – Public Access
Numbers are Free. Calls within our
international GenieNet are carried as a local call to our customers. And outside calls to any of our
point-of-presence locations are only 2 cents per minute. For example, a caller from London makes a
local call, trying to reach a subscriber in Vancouver, who wants all his calls
routed to his winter house in Phoenix.
That routed call is only 2 cents per minute.
