Massachusetts Service Rollout Flags Network Initiative
EasyTel announces new private communications network underlying its premiere communications service.

EasyTel announced today that they have expanded their local services in Massachusetts. The new service center brings the company's offerings to include local service in 77 rate centers, covering about 300 cities and communities spanned across area codes 508, 617, 774, 781, 857 and 978 in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

"But this roll-out is even more important," said Company President Randall Skala. "This is the first area being brought up from the start on our new GenieNet, and that signals a huge change in how our customers can communicate." GenieNet is private communications network operating only among the various service centers and subscribers EasyTel services around the country.

"By keeping the communications among our subscribers on a private network, we are able to ELIMINATE long distance charges when Genie users call each other to engage in conference calls within the network, (on net)" Skala explained. "GenieNet is running right now in Northern California, Southern California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Illinois, and Minnesota, and now Massachusetts. In the next quarter our Genie Net will spread to twenty-seven states and Washington DC. When that happens, ALL our Genie users will be able to call and conference with each other with zero long distance charges."

Below is a full list of cities, area codes, and prefixes that are now available for local coverage in Massachusetts. "Genie subscribers can choose their own local Universal Telephone Number in any of these places, through which their customers and contacts in that area can reach them, said Skala. This allows local number connections with our subscribers, even if they are in a completely different part of the country."

With this initiative, EasyTel's local coverage reaches approximately 80% of the US Population. From New York City to Seattle, from Miami to San Diego, from Houston to Minneapolis, EasyTel provides Local Service in over three thousand cities and communities, in 114 area codes spanning across 1,341 rate centers, in twenty-seven states and Washington DC.
